BLISSFUL BALI ( DECEMBER 2013) !

Into the mesmerising beauty of what they call it "Bali " its indeed a piece of heaven on earth . The brightness of the sun shining its luminous rays over the vast blue ocean and surfers doing their best stints was a sight not to miss. One cant resist the temptation to dive right into the ocean when you arrive . I have been to so many beach towns but this one is different , its the magical vibe it has. With things to do for all age groups for eg. for children & adrenaline junkies there are numerous water activities, water park, adventure activities , for those who like to party some best nightclubs are located in Kuta/ Legian , if you are in your 40's you can take a pool villa in Seminayak beach and enjoy a swim or stroll out for massage as low as 6 USD per person per hour . You can also enjoy some shopping in your vicinity and dont forget to try the local Indonesian rice & curries .

Beach selections can be as per preferences :

Kuta : touristy, cheap, crowded, lot of parties around.

Seminyak : chic, upscale, luxury resorts, lots of high end boutiques, lounges, clubs and cafes.

Nusa Dua : luxury resorts, high end shopping, family friendly, less crowded beaches

Another place that caught my attention is Ubud which is Bali's cultural heart known for its Tegallalang rice terraces , art & crafts shops & Ubud monkey forest & musuems. If you love cooking then a gastronomical tour for you is a must do where you can purhcase your exotic spices & herbs & prepare a meal under chef guidance where he will teach you the techniques of local cuisine. If you dont want to spend all the nights near the beach I think a 2 night stay in Ubud can be wonderful.

Bali has a soul owing to the vast number of temples the most famous and worth visiting being Tanah Lot which is a temple built in a rock formation in the sea .

I highly recommend coffee tasting . I tasted all samples and different flavours and enjoyed my trip around the farm. These visits are completely free unless you buy something from there or taste the Luwak coffee made out of Luwak poop. Strange is'nt it !The coffee is said to be the best because of the cherries that the luwaks select. They choose the cherries by smell, so they pick only the ripest cherries which means the BEST cherries. The luwaks digestive systems break down the cherry, but they don’t digest the bean inside, which comes out intact. The digestive process is said to lower some of the acidity of the beans, though and give it a smoother flavor.

I highly recommend this place and the abundance it has to offer !
